With nearly a decade of experience in technology and the Managed Service Provider (MSP) industry, Nathan discovered his true calling: helping people solve problems and achieve their goals. His passion for learning and dedication to helping others succeed shines through in every interaction. Whether working with clients or mentoring team members, Nathan takes pride in breaking down complex tech concepts into easy-to-understand terms—no tech jargon required.

I started my I T developments late in life. I was approaching 30. Little did I know that starting a little computer bulletin board system would begin a trajectory of technology solutions for years to come.

I built Northeast Louisiana’s first large commercial Internet Provider, Bayou Internet and Communications, run an I T consultancy with nationwide customers and now half owner of Managed I T Service Provider Tech Savvy LLC.

While my concentration is the actual business, financial, policies and strategies of Tech Savvy, I keep a hands-on approach in network build out, office tech consulting, servers, NAS and 365 cloud.

My flavors of choice are Ubiquiti for customer office infrastructure as well as multi-location builds. I use Synology for solid NAS deployments and MS 365.

Let’s talk about Microsoft. After years of being out of the ISP business, my old domain, bayou.com bounced back to me in 2024. I wanted to keep my long-standing bayou email address. My thoughts were to add the domain into my 365 account and go on with life. Turns out there were a few others that wanted to keep their long-standing bayou email address too. I said OK I will host a small email service if everyone pays their share for any costs and upkeep. Little did I know that it would escalate to about 250 accounts at turn up time. Larger than I thought it would be, but I managed.

My servers at Bayou Internet brought me years of self-taught UNIX experience. It’s a nice knowledge fall back. I occasionally play around with Proxmox and TrueNAS. Linux hypervisors can be just a tad different from Windows Server Hyper-V. CASA OS and some docker VMs for my smart home serve as Linux refresher courses.

Personally, I’m a West Monroe Louisiana boy living just outside of the city limits. About a year ago I moved from tinkering with portable power generator and creating lithium batteries to building my own solar power system for my house. It’s not great big, only about 10kw, but it runs the things that run 24 hours pretty well – the office, router and switch, refrigerator, etc. My backyard is a landscape of solar panels. We just mow around them. Lol

I have a 17-yr old cat named Luke. I watch way too much YouTube and I have 1 daughter, son n law and a grandbaby that is just hitting 1 years old.
